So....

I want to begin by apologizing. I have not updated this thing in any sort of meaningful way since... before finals. In April. And I don't have any excuse. My computer is not fried (all hail the power of the Mac) and I am not trotting off on global adventures. I'm just lazy.

Well, a lot has happened since April. Let me see if I remember the big stuff.

I got a job working for Tarrabain and Company. I feel like I have no soul. I got an 8 megapixal Digital SLR camera and a lensbaby. We bought a 42 inch LCD HDTV and a HD DVD player. I went camping with Shaun, Rachel and Greg to Lake Louise/Banff where my famous stamina almost killed them. (I'm like the energizer bunny. Seriously, ask Greg). Shaun and I went to Washington DC for a week while he was on a business trip. I think we were tailed by Secret Service. I saw the White House, the Capitol Building, the Hope Diamond, the Ruby Slippers, Archie Bunker's chair, Julia Child's kitchen, the original Muppets, the National Zoo, Old Stone House (the only pre-revolutionary building still standing in DC) amongst other things. I went camping again with Shaun, Rachel and Greg and much to their collective delight had a charlie horse that significantly hindered my world famous stamina. I decided to apply and got a job at the Student Financial Aid Info Centre for the fall. After my first day of training Shaun picked me up and told me the wedding MAY be off.

I assumed it was cold feet.

Boy was I wrong.

Within 48 hours of this big announcement she had cancelled: the caterer, cake, flowers, photographer, hall, dj, sold her wedding dress, returned the wedding bands.

The most unbelievable thing is that she blindsided Pete with all of this. She's listed their house, looking for a condo and wants nothing to do with him.

And none of us really know why. Well that's a lie, we know she doesn't love him enough to marry him. Good for her for realizing it wasn't right and saving herself the pain of divorce. But none of us know what sparked this decision. At 2:30 she was calling because she was excited that an old friend had RSVP'd and by 6:00 she had called it off.

Other than that, I've been reading a lot of fluff and hanging out with Shaun, Rachel and Greg. I tried twice and very unsucessfully to get the HuGSS people together, but it didn't work so I gave up.
